Did you know that SSP gave out over $50,000 in scholarships in 2024 through sailing camp, adult classes, group programs, boat yard storage, and the race teams? With your help we can continue to make access to the water possible!

As we reflect on this season of gratitude, those who have given shared their time, money, and skills with SSP are especially on our minds as a small organization. We depend on the kindness of those who love what we do to achieve our mission. We’re thankful for YOU! And we hope you’re taking some time with friends and family to enjoy the beautiful outdoors this weekend.

Thanks to 25+ volunteers on Saturday we were able to winterize and clean up the site at the Volunteer Work Party. We are tremendously grateful to every volunteer that shared their weekend with us because we know community boating centers like ours could not run without the support of dedicated volunteers.
If you missed out this time and want to join in on the fun, we’ll have another one in spring 2025 as we prepare for the upcoming boating season.

A huge congratulations and thank you to our Volunteer of the Year, John! John is here every Monday, rain or shine, helping us keep the site clean and supporting any project going on. We’re very grateful for John’s dedication and are very excited to present him with the 2024 award.

SUP with a pup last week last week was a blast! We had dogs, paddling, dog paddling, and hot dogs!! We even hand-delivered hot dogs to the Monday night racers at the end of the night on the water. It was a great way to end the summer event series, and we’re looking forward to doing it again next summer 🐾🌭

Between Party on the Porch, individual gifts, and the Open Boating fundraiser, we were able to raise over $60,000 towards our programs and efforts to make access to the water possible for anyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
As a small nonprofit, we stretch every single dollar that comes our way in tangible ways to make the biggest impact, so if you helped us towards that final number please know that we are so grateful for your contribution.
